The Process

How a Ceramic Coating Is Applied

A coating is only as good as the prep underneath it. Every application follows this sequence, with no steps skipped.

01

Paint Decontamination

Iron fallout remover and chemical decontamination dissolve bonded contaminants a normal wash cannot touch.

02

Clay Bar Treatment

Clay bar lifts what chemical decon leaves behind, giving a paint surface that is glassy-smooth to the touch.

03

Machine Polish

Defects come out of the clear coat before any coating goes on. One step for light defects and gloss, two for heavier correction.

04

Coating Application

Professional-grade ceramic polymer applied panel by panel, each layer levelled and cured before the next.

Common Questions

Ceramic Coating FAQ

Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?

Not always, but understand the trade-off. A coating locks in whatever is already on the paint, so swirl marks and oxidation get sealed under it for years. On newer or well-kept paint the coating alone is fine. On anything with visible defects, correction first is the difference between protecting a good finish and preserving a bad one.

How do I maintain a ceramic-coated car?

Hand wash only, pH-neutral soap, and keep it out of automated washes with brushes. The coating does the hard work; the washing just needs to not undo it. A maintenance wash every one to two months keeps it performing.

Is my car a good candidate?

Almost any vehicle with painted panels. Ceramic works on factory paint and on properly resprayed surfaces. We confirm it at the walkaround before anything is agreed.

How much does ceramic coating cost in Nashville?

The Ceramic Bundle starts at $825 for a sedan and covers both the correction and a three-year coating. Coating alone starts at $450. Every price is a starting rate, because paint condition drives the hours.
