Ceramic Coating
& Paint Correction

The most durable protection available for your paint — applied at your driveway, not a shop. Starting at $500.

What It Is
Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds directly to your paint and cures into a hard, hydrophobic shell. It repels water, blocks UV rays, resists dirt and grime, and provides a measurable layer of protection against minor scratches and swirl marks. Unlike wax — which sits on top of your paint and washes off every few weeks — ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat and lasts 2–5 years. Once applied, cleaning your car takes a fraction of the effort it used to. Water beads and rolls off. Dirt slides off instead of sticking. And your paint stays protected without you having to touch it.

Longevity
How Long It Lasts
2–3 Years
Standard Coat
With a basic maintenance wash every 1–2 months and avoiding automated car washes. The coating holds through Tennessee winters, summer UV, and normal road use.

4–5 Years
Premium Coat
A higher-grade ceramic formula provides a harder, more resilient shell with extended protection. Maintenance is the same — hand wash only, pH-neutral soap. Annual inspection recommended.

What Shortens It
Automatic car washes with brushes, harsh chemical soaps, abrasive wash mitts, and prolonged neglect all degrade the coating faster than normal use. Stick with hand washing and the coating will perform as rated.

The Process
What’s Included
Ceramic coating is only as good as the prep work under it. Every application follows this exact sequence — no shortcuts.
01
Paint Decontamination
Iron fallout remover and chemical decontamination spray dissolve bonded contaminants that a normal wash can’t touch — brake dust, rail dust, and embedded road particles.

02
Clay Bar Treatment
Clay bar removes surface contamination that chemical decon leaves behind. The result is a paint surface that’s glassy-smooth and ready to accept a coating — anything left in the paint gets permanently sealed in.

03
Polish (1 or 2-Step)
Machine polishing removes defects from the clear coat before coating is applied. 1-step for light defects and gloss enhancement. 2-step for heavy swirling, scratches, or oxidation. Defects sealed under ceramic are permanent.

04
Coating Application
Professional-grade ceramic polymer applied panel by panel. Each layer is leveled and cured before the next is added. Curing begins immediately — no rain or washing for 24 hours after application.

Common Questions
FAQ
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Not always — but you should understand what happens if you skip it. Ceramic coating locks in whatever is on your paint at the time of application. If your paint has swirl marks, light scratches, or water spots, those defects will be permanently sealed under the coating and visible for the next 2–5 years. If your paint is in good shape — relatively clean, no heavy swirling — a 1-step polish is typically sufficient prep. If it’s heavily swirled or scratched, 2-step correction is the right call before coating. We’ll give you an honest assessment during your consultation.

How do I maintain a ceramic-coated car?

The main rules are simple: hand wash only, pH-neutral soap, and avoid automated car washes with brushes. The coating does most of the work for you — dirt and water bead off without sticking. A rinse with a pressure washer or a basic hand wash every 4–6 weeks keeps the surface in good condition. No waxing needed or recommended — wax won’t bond properly over ceramic and adds nothing. Annual inspections let us check the coating’s condition and advise on any touch-ups needed.

Is my car a good candidate for ceramic coating?

Almost any vehicle with painted panels is a candidate. Ceramic coating works on factory paint, properly respayed surfaces, and wrapped panels. It’s especially well-suited for newer vehicles you want to protect from day one, daily drivers you’re tired of constantly washing, and higher-value cars where long-term paint protection matters. The one situation where we’d have a conversation first: paint with heavy clear coat failure or significant rust isn’t a good candidate — the paint surface needs to be structurally sound for the coating to bond correctly.
